Transport UK docks Barnet bus driver pay after 34°C heat refusal

A Transport UK bus driver in Barnet was docked 90 minutes’ pay after refusing to drive a bus with broken air conditioning when temperatures reached 34°C. The company said the cab was safe, but the Mayor of London had previously promised no penalties for heat-related refusals.
