Charing Cross station closed for 22 days of track and platform repairs

Charing Cross station is closed until 17 August for a 22-day engineering programme. Network Rail is replacing all track between the station and Waterloo East, repairing platforms and upgrading junctions to reduce future delays. The work avoids four 9-day closures or two years of weekend shutdowns.
