Drivers using the Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels face higher charges from today, with increases of between 3.3% and 5% on tolls. The off-peak car charge is now £1.55 and the peak charge is £4.20. Heavy goods vehicles also see rises.

Transport for London has confirmed toll increases for the Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels, starting 21 September. Peak charges for cars will rise by 20p, while motorbikes and large vans will see smaller increases. Residents in eligible boroughs may qualify for discounts.
