Victorian river conduit remains above Sloane Square Tube platforms

Sloane Square Underground station in west London features a significant Victorian-era metal pipe carrying the River Westbourne directly above its platforms. The structure, dating back to the station's opening in 1868, has survived bomb damage and continues to be a visible reminder of London's buried waterways.
