Potters Bar train death closes London-Stevenage line until 4pm

A person died after being struck by a train at Potters Bar station on 20 August 2026, forcing the closure of all lines between London and Stevenage. Services were cancelled, delayed or diverted until 16:00, affecting six operators including Thameslink and LNER.
