Jet2 announced its largest winter programme for the 2026/27 season, introducing 13 new routes from Gatwick Airport. New destinations include Agadir in Morocco, Vienna in Austria and Alpine resorts such as Grenoble and Salzburg. The airline now offers 6.3 million seats to 42 locations.

Jet2 flight LS1473, en route from London Stansted to Ibiza, issued a 'squawk 7700' emergency alert over northern France. The Boeing 737-800 diverted to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, landing safely shortly before 11am.
