£7m power cable upgrade completed under South London railway and tramlines

UK Power Networks has installed 9 km of 33 kV cables beneath roads, tramlines and a live railway in South London, costing £7 million. The project used horizontal directional drilling to minimise disruption to residents and transport services, while future-proofing the local electricity network.
