A fire at an industrial unit in Ventura Park, St Albans, led to the temporary closure of the M25 on 11 August 2026. Ten fire engines attended the scene, and nearby residents were advised to keep windows closed. The motorway has since reopened with reduced speed limits.

The M25 is shut in both directions between junctions 22 and 21A after a commercial building caught fire near the motorway. Drivers face delays of about one hour and are advised to follow the Hollow Square diversion via the A405, A414 and A1081.
